Sunday Services
Jehovah Shalom praises God in song at various Thistletown Baptist Church Sunday morning services. On Youth Sundays (usually the last Sunday of every month), we sing and play special pieces and lead praise and worship music for services. We also usually lead praise and worship music on the second Sunday service of every month.
Praise & Serve Services
Praise & Serve Services are special worship events led by Jehovah Shalom. Here, we sing songs to the Lord while having an opportunity to donate what we can to help others and make a difference. It is a unique time for people to praise God in song and serve others to show His love.
In February 2005, Jehovah Shalom hosted a Praise & Serve service at Thistletown Baptist Church to raise funds for Tsunami survivors in Somalia.
On October 2nd 2005, Jehovah Shalom hosted a Praise & Serve service at Thistletown Baptist Church to raise funds for hurricane survivors in New Orleans.
In December 2007, Jehovah Shalom hosted a Praise & Serve Christmas sing-along at Thistletown Baptist Church to raise funds for food baskets to give to folks in our Rexdale community who were in need.
Visiting Other Churches
We sometimes visit other churches to share our music at their services and events. In the past, we have had the opportunity to worship with several churches in the Greater Toronto Area, including Richview Baptist Church, Kipling Avenue Baptist Church, Wilmar Heights Baptist Church, Kingsview Free Methodist Church, and Faith Baptist Church. In 2007, we participated in leading worship music for the Toronto Spiritual Life Convention, held at The People's Church.
