LIKE THE FOOLISH MAN

V1: The man who called God’s name in vain built his house on shifting ground
    Listened to the words God said, lived like he didn’t hear a sound
    What would come from all those lies, played like he could bare good fruit
    He might think he fooled the world, but God knows the inner truth   

C1: The rains came down, he had no plan
    Washed away with the sand
    Trust in God, get your feet on land       
    Don’t do it like the foolish man

V2: The man who took God’s Word to heart is a man on solid rock
    Grew his roots in grace and faith, followed Christ and walked the talk
    When the clouds came over him, sun went dark and winds blew through
    He had overcome the world, God had built his life anew  

C2: The torrent stuck, the storm beat down
    Couldn’t shake that solid ground  
    Trust in God, get your feet on land
    Don’t do it like the foolish man

B: Do as God says and you will be wise
   If you don’t obey you’ll pay the price
   You can fool the world, they might not ever know
   But you can’t hide from Him, each falsehood in your soul

C3: That day will come, alone we’ll stand
    Facing justice from His hand
    Trust in God, get your feet on land
    Don’t do it like the foolish man
