V1: Mary and Mary came to the tomb
    To pour on Jesus some sweet perfume
    Found an empty grave instead
    They sought the living among the dead

V2: The sparkle of the angel’s light
    Filled the tomb with glory bright
    Spoke the words that Jesus said
    “Don’t seek the living among the dead”

C: Behold I told ya, you’re not a slave
   The stone jumped up and rolled away
   You’re free from sin, don’t be misled
   Don’t seek the living among the dead

V3: Old doubting Thomas went through the roof
    “He’s not alive, don’t be a fool”
    Wagged his finger and shook his head
    “Why seek the living among the dead”

V4: Well, they were in for quite a shock
    They didn’t hear the door unlock
    Jesus smiled and lovingly said
    “I’m everliving and I ain’t dead”

V5: On his way back up He said
    “I’m with you now to the end”
    “Teach the Word, the good news spread”
    “You are the living, go win the dead”

V6: Jesus gave us everything
    So let us sing and praise the King
    Thankful that he died and bled
    We’re with the living, no longer dead
